Most common side effects
- Localised burning/stinging during injection
- Bruising and redness
- Tenderness
- Swelling at the procedure site
Less common side effects
- Uneven/inadequate result/lumps
- Infection at the procedure site
Risks and possible complications
- Permanent granuloma/nodule/lump formation
- Necrosis of the skin
- Prolonged redness
- Prolonged pain and sensitivity at the treated areas
- Nerve damage
- Scar formation (keloid)
- Immediate hypersensitivity including Anaphylaxis
- Nasolacrimal duct obstruction, blindness (when treating around the eye area)
