What is Hair Rejuvenation?

Hair Rejuvenation is a non-surgical treatment designed to support scalp health and improve the appearance of hair thinning. At Aesthetic Services, we combine the LaseMD Ultra fractional laser with KeraFactor Hair Serum as part of a personalised treatment plan.

The laser creates microscopic channels within the scalp, allowing the KeraFactor serum to be delivered more effectively while stimulating the skin’s natural renewal processes.
Treatment suitability is assessed during your consultation, where we’ll discuss your concerns, medical history and whether this treatment is appropriate for you.Before commencing each new course of laser treatment, you are required to have an up-to-date skin check. This is a requirement of our laser licence, as laser treatment should not be performed over suspicious or undiagnosed skin lesions.

About KeraFactor

KeraFactor is a specialised hair and scalp serum developed to support scalp health. It contains a proprietary blend of growth factors, proteins and other ingredients that are delivered following LaseMD Ultra treatment.

The temporary microchannels created by the laser enhance delivery of the serum into the scalp, allowing it to reach the treatment area more effectively than topical application alone.

Treatment suitability and recommendations are discussed during your consultation.

What is involved in a KeraLase treatment session?

Preparation

  • Ensure hair is completely dry
  • Avoid applying styling products, serums, or oils prior
  • Do not wash your hair immediately before treatment – this avoids scalp barrier disruption
  •  

Laser Application

  • The 1927nm Lutronic Ultra MD laser is applied across the scalp to create microchannels.

Growth Factor Serum Application:

  • The KeraFactor serum is massaged in to allow deep penetration through the microchannels.

LED Light Activation

  • The Heal Lite II LED device is used immediately after to reduce inflammation and boost absorption and enhance the effects of the growth factors on your hair and scalp cells.

How many treatments will I need?

Many patients notice an improvement after their first or second treatment. However, hair grows in cycles, and not all hair follicles are active at the same time.

For this reason, we generally recommend a course of 6 treatments. This allows us to repeatedly stimulate follicles as they enter the active growth phase, providing the best opportunity for optimal results.

A maintenance treatment is typically recommended 6–9 months after completing your initial course.

How long does each appointment take?

Treatment time varies depending on the size of the treatment area and the length of your hair.

Most appointments take around 75 minutes, which includes:

  • LaseMD Ultra laser treatment
  • KeraFactor serum application
  • Healite LED treatment
How should I prepare for my appointment?

Please arrive with clean, completely dry hair.

Before your appointment:

  • Ensure your hair is completely dry.
  • Avoid applying styling products, serums or oils.
  • Please do not wash your hair immediately before treatment, as this may temporarily disrupt the scalp’s natural protective barrier.
When will I start to see results?

Many patients notice improvements within 4–8 weeks, which is often sooner than expected with many hair restoration treatments.

Early improvements may include:

  • Thicker individual hairs
  • An increase in actively growing hairs
  • A healthier, more resilient scalp

Full improvement is typically seen over 3–6 months as the hair growth cycle progresses. Individual results vary.

Do I need to use KeraFactor products at home?

Home care is recommended to support your in-clinic treatments.

KeraFactor Solution

  • Ideally applied once daily, morning or evening.
  • Apply approximately one full dropper to the affected areas and massage into the scalp.
  • Smaller treatment areas may require less product.
  • If you have longer hair and daily application isn’t practical, apply the solution after each time you wash your hair.

A 50 mL bottle provides approximately 50 applications when using 1 mL per application. Smaller treatment areas may require less product, allowing the bottle to last longer.

How do I use the KeraFactor Shampoo & Conditioner?

The KeraFactor Shampoo & Conditioner is designed to support scalp health and can be used whenever you normally wash your hair.

For shorter hair

  • Use as a 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner.
  • Lather a small, dime-sized amount in your hands.
  • Massage into the scalp using your fingertips or a scalp massage brush.
  • Leave for 1–2 minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

For longer hair or less frequent washing

  • Wash first with your usual shampoo and rinse.
  • Apply a small amount of KeraFactor Shampoo & Conditioner as a second wash, focusing on the scalp.
  • Massage into the scalp, leave for 1–2 minutes, then rinse well.
  • Apply your usual conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends of your hair if desired.
