What to expect after laser treatment
Following your laser treatment, it is common to experience some temporary skin reactions as the treated area recovers.
You may experience:
- Mild redness
- Dryness
- Mild itching
- Rough or sandpaper-like texture
- Warmth
- Tightness
- Mild swelling
If itching is uncomfortable, an antihistamine and/or hydrocortisone cream may help.
Caring for your skin after treatment
The following may help soothe the treated area:
- Cold packs applied gently to the skin
- Moisturiser to help keep the skin hydrated
- Healite LED treatment within 48 hours of your laser treatment can support the skin’s natural recovery process.

Laser treatments
Care Guide
- No unprotected sun exposure.
- Apply SPF 50+ everyday.
- Swelling, redness and bruising can occur for up to 2 weeks. Apply cool compresses and avoid warm environs.
- Microcrusting can occur for up to 3 weeks. Do not pick. Allow to slough off naturally.
- Avoid NSAIDS for 72 hours to minimise bruising.
- Keep your skin moisturised.
- Stay hydrated.
